well it’s taken a few days, a few firmware updates, one time machine restore, two goes at burning the install DVD, a BSoD and a lot of tea; but, we now have Windows 7 Pro x86 running and as a boot option on the iMac 24″, hurrah! (I think).

1 – nVidia 7300GT? need firmware update from apple (not part of apple update) or BSoD at end of win7setup
2 – even if the DVD seems fine and setup starts, burn slowly or files will never extract
3 – x86 not 64bit version (not sure why, it’s Intel Core2 T7400)
